Hello, I’m David,

I’m a wedding photographer available for weddings throughout the UK.

Ah, weddings! Those grand occasions where Aunt Edna wears that hat, Uncle Bob discovers the dance floor, and someone’s nephew inevitably face-plants into the cake. Amidst this delightful chaos, you might spot me—David Walters, your friendly neighborhood wedding photographer.

Below, you’ll find one of my all-time favourite photographs. It contains my magical trio: my partner Firat (wise, patient, and oddly tolerant of my gear obsessions), our little whirlwind of joy, Mavi Rosa, and our dog Frida, who looks like she’s auditioning for a part in The Muppets.

That photo is more than a picture. It’s a moment. The kind of moment where your heart does that wibbly thing. Mavi had just discovered the sea—like discovering dragons, only with less fire and more soggy socks. And Frida, well… she looked positively delighted to be wet. This is why I love photography. Because moments—especially the ridiculous, emotional, beautiful ones—don’t last. Unless you catch them.

My First Real Moment

I’ve got an MA in New Media/Photography (which sounds fancier than “I’m good with a camera”) and accidentally fell into wedding photography over 12 years ago – never looked back. Why would I? It’s the best job in the world: telling real stories for real people, one brilliant moment at a time.

When I’m not chasing light and dodging flying bouquets, you’ll probably find me doing one of three things: buying vinyl records like a man on a mission, reading comics like I never grew up (because I didn’t), or watching Studio Ghibli films with a pile of fizzy jellies that somehow keep disappearing.

I’m a bit of a hi-fi nerd—the kind who believes music sounds better with a little crackle and a lot of volume. And then there’s running. Firat and I once did a 60K ultra marathon in Turkey, which at the time seemed like a good idea. It actually was a good idea (if your legs forgive you eventually). We’ve got plans for more. Just waiting for Mavi to stop beating us in sprints on her scooter.
